Sydenham Community Preschool is committed to the principles of the Treaty of Waitangi and believe in the importance of introducing children to Te Reo Maori and Tikanga Maori. Waiata and Te Reo Maori is incorporated into our daily routines and programme. A karakia is said before all kai times:

Kai

Morning kai is supplied by the centre, it consists of fruit and sandwiches. We do ask that you bring a piece of fruit that will be shared.
All children are to bring a named lunch box with no more than 4 healthy choices. Please adhere to our healthy food policy and more information can be accessed on the Healthy Heart website/5 plus a day.(No drink bottles, we supply drinking cups for water).
